About Us

What...

Minggl is moving freely around the web while staying connected to multiple social networks. The Minggl toolbar monitors your networks for key events and friend activity to keep you posted as you browse other sites. It also enables you to manage content, friends, and your online identities across profiles from wherever you are.

Why…

We created Minggl because we believe people want to EASILY participate in more than one community, manage privacy in different contexts, and socialize seamlessly. Cool new social networking sites are being launched all the time. People need an easy way to join and participate without all the setup effort. Users also want to stay up to date on friends’ activities, even while browsing non-social sites. So, we`ve broken down the borders to let you Minggl freely…

When…

Work on Minggl begin in 2005. It takes a long time to develop the cool benefits Minggl delivers. Minggl has four patents pending and three more being filed this month. And the fun has just begun.

Where…

Austin, Texas. Y’all are welcome to come down for some of the finest bbq, live music, and people you’ll ever find.

A life altering experience motivated me to never again let access to other people end at the borders. After that experience, I realized that social networks are currently like Islands---their encumbrances were keeping me from joining other interesting communities.

When we first started Minggl, we intended to allow everyone to see our profile from outside the social network walls. But it quickly became apparent that certain people and communities should get access to more or less, depending upon who they were.

I'm a graduate of UT Austin, a serial entrepreneur (Minggl is my 4th or 5th startup), and I'm passionate about Internet technology. I've put a lot of my soul into the Minggl technology--I really hope you like it!

After racking up massive amounts of debt to fund my MBA I decided to turn down a big corporate salary so I could go work for the potential of an internet startup. Not the kind of decision they teach you to make in business school. But I spent more time on Facebook than studying while in school and wasn`t ready to give that up.

Prior to grad school, I worked at General Motors for six years back home in Michigan. I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Finance from Indiana University, and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
